Earnshaw's May 2008 Staying true to its name, San Francisco-based Velvet & Tweed takes inspiration from those classic fabrications. When creating her special occasion collection for newborn to size 5, which launched for Fall '08, owner and designer Tina Schreiber first turned to vintage fabric houses. "The line has a very European aesthetic and is simple and timeless," said the designer, who used to work on Mervyn's Sprockets line and Gymboree's Janie and Jack.
